ALI FARAHANI [NEW YEAR`S EVE 2026] at MADARAE

Born in Milan, Italy, with Iranian heritage, I began my musical journey at the age of 14, playing Afro-Cuban percussion. Growing up in Italy, where electronic music is deeply ingrained in the culture, I was naturally influenced by its sound and energy — elements that continue to shape my productions today.

At 18, I started producing music. My first release, “Persian Dream” featuring Marco Bonuso, came out on Sound Division (ITA) and became one of the earliest tracks to fuse electronic music with Middle Eastern influences. It went on to become one of the most successful tracks of 2007, played by some of the world’s leading DJs.

My next release, a collaboration with DJ Aron of Le Follies De Pigalle, titled “Don’t Feel No Shame,” reached the Top 10 on Beatport, holding the #6 position for over two months in 2008. That success led to performances at numerous clubs and events across Italy.

In 2011, I relocated to Los Angeles, where my sound evolved from European tech-house toward more sophisticated, organic, and groove-driven rhythms inspired by my roots.

After taking a short break from music, I returned to producing and DJing, and later co-founded the Santa Monica–based label Pipe & Pochet with Patrik Khach. My mission is to inspire artists and listeners alike through meaningful, culturally rich music, and I continue to share my sound across the U.S. and beyond.

Madarae is San Francisco's newest nightclub featuring world famous house DJs with state of the art sound and lighting but in an intimate setting. Immersing the crowd in amazing sound and visuals while up close and personal to the DJ.
